Textile and clothing exports
In February 2012, despite a low base, textile and apparel exports failed to resume nominal growth, and the downward trend was obvious. Exports in that month all declined year-on-year and month-on-month: textile and apparel exports amounted to US$9.71 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 7% and a month-on-month decrease of 54.9%. Among them, textile exports were US$4.26 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5.9%, and a month-on-month decrease of 44.5%; clothing exports were US$5.45 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 15.1%, and a month-on-month decrease of 60.6%.
From January to February, the cumulative exports of textiles and clothing were US$31.23 billion, down 2.6%, of which textile exports were US$11.94 billion, down 2.6%, and clothing exports were US$19.29 billion, down 2.5%.
