Relevant departments in Benin strengthen seasonal cotton production
On March 22, the heads of relevant departments of Benin’s cotton production will hold a meeting at the Dako Hotel to study the cotton production issues of the 2012 season. The theme of the meeting was to summarize Benin’s cotton production in 2011-2012. Benin’s cotton production achieved good results in 2010-2011, with 70% of the cotton being high-quality cotton. In order to strengthen cotton production in the 2012 season, the heads of relevant departments will summarize their experience and teach techniques for high cotton yields, such as fertilization, resistance to diseases and pests, picking and sales, etc. This summary meeting will further strengthen Benin’s cotton production system and lay a solid foundation for cotton production in 2012-2013 and beyond.
