my country’s cotton yarn imports hit record high
According to customs statistics, my country’s cotton yarn imports hit a record high in February 2012, reaching 123,500 tons, an increase of 51,900 tons from the previous month. The month-on-month increase reached 72.36%, and the year-on-year increase was 122.36%; the cotton yarn export volume was 28,500 tons, the month-on-month increase was 18.42%, and the year-on-year increase was 12.73%.
According to statistics, as of February, in 2011/12 (2011.09-2012.02), my country had imported a total of 559,300 tons of cotton yarn, a year-on-year increase of 4.85%; a total of 152,700 tons of cotton yarn had been exported, a year-on-year decrease of 24.02%.
