A decrease of 7.7%; the export value of chemical fiber machinery was 6.684 billion yen, a decrease of 16% compared with the previous year; the export value of textile machinery equipment and parts was 29.132 billion yen, a decrease of 15.8% year-on-year.
In addition, Japan imported a total of 33.311 billion yen of textile and garment machinery in 2011, a year-on-year increase of 14.2%. Among them, the import value of loom equipment increased by 87.1% year-on-year, becoming the equipment category with the largest increase in imports; the import of textile machinery equipment and parts The amount was 18.130 billion yen, making it the category with the largest import volume.
