Syria releases 100 million Syrian pounds to subsidize cotton production
Recently, the Syrian Agricultural Subsidy Fund issued 1 billion Syrian pounds (approximately 14 million U.S. dollars) as subsidies to Syrian cotton farmers. The director of the fund said that under the framework of subsidizing strategic agricultural products, the fund has distributed cotton subsidy funds to agricultural banks in Hasakah, Deir ez-Zor, Idlib and other provinces, and distributed subsidies based on the planting area of cotton farmers.
