India’s denim production capacity will reach 100 million meters
Experts say that India’s current denim production capacity is 750 million meters, but it will definitely reach 1 billion meters. Although existing manufacturing companies are expanding their production capabilities, new members are constantly joining the denim industry.

Therefore, new companies are attracted to join the denim industry, and the denim production capacity will reach 1 billion meters by 2013. ”
In fact, by the end of 2012, India’s denim production capacity is expected to exceed 800 million meters per year.

According to PR Roy, a senior textile consultant, India’s per capita denim consumption also has growth potential. “Today India’s population is about 1.2 billion. Next year’s denim production capacity will reach 1 billion meters, and per capita denim consumption is still less than 1 meter. This means that the domestic market has a lot of room for growth.”
In addition, industry insiders say that much of the new production capacity is now distributed in innovative and high-quality products.
