The US CPSC implements a voluntary recall of Chinese-made boys’ jogging clothes
On May 8, 2012, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Myriad Trading Inc. jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made M.M.M. boys’ jogging suits.
The recalled M.M.M. boys’ jogging clothes are made of 100% polyester fiber. “M.M.M.” is marked on the label at the collar. The shorts are solid color and the top is two-color (blue/white, gray/blue, gray / red), the size of the top is 4~16. The jogging suit was sold in dd’s Discounts stores across the United States from December 2011 to January 2012, with a unit price of approximately US$10 per set.
The number of products recalled this time is approximately 1,700 sets. The reason for the recall is that the drawstrings at the waist of the jogging tops pose a risk for young children to get stuck when passing through small spaces. As of now, Myriad Trading Inc. has not received any incident reports.
To this end, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that consumers immediately keep the recalled jogging clothes away from children, pull out the drawstrings to eliminate the hazard, or contact dd’s Discounts store for a return and full refund.
