The US CPSC implemented a voluntary recall of Chinese-made boys’ hooded zipper jackets
On May 15, 2012, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Bonded Apparel Inc. jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made SX and QH boys’ hooded zipper jackets.
The recalled SX and QH boys’ hooded zipper jackets are long-sleeved and come in three colors: army green, light green and black. They are equipped with artificial fur lining and are available in 4 designs, one of which is the number “2” ” or the letter “B” is marked on the left chest, and the other is “ROCK” or “ABSportwear” is marked on the waist. Available in sizes 4-7, or S, M and L. “SX” or “QH” is marked on the collar tag. Product models 1006, 1029, 1058 and 1061 are marked on the country of origin label. The jacket has been sold at dd’s Discounts stores in the United States from August to December 2011, with a unit price of approximately US$8 per piece.
The number of products recalled this time is approximately 720. The reason for the recall is that the drawstring on the hood of the jacket poses a stranglehold hazard to children. As of now, BondedApparelInc. has not received any incident reports.
For this reason, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that consumers immediately pull out the drawstring in the jacket hood to eliminate the danger, or contact Bonded Apparel Inc. for a return and full refund.
