Peruvian textile products valued at US$10,000 finally obtained Argentina’s non-automatic import license
According to the Peruvian newspaper, the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that thanks to the diplomatic efforts of the Ministry and the Peruvian Embassy in Argentina, 68% of Peruvian textile products that were blocked from being exported to Argentina due to non-automatic import certificates were finally issued. The relevant authorities granted permission to enter the country’s market. The amount of products allowed to be exported to the Afghan market this time reached US$6.0051 million. This type of products has been successfully exported for more than US$8.78 million before.
The products approved this time are mainly garments, spinning threads and weaving fabrics. The Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Argentine Ministry of Trade intends to solve such problems and will continue to push for the approval of more licenses from Peru to relax import restrictions so that more Peruvian products worth more than US$2.77 million can enter the country’s market in the future.
