Popular uniform store CONOMi will sell school uniforms in China
CONOMi, a uniform clothing manufacturer popular among Japanese young people, plans to join forces with the department store Isetan to launch sales in China. Isetan Department Store in Shenyang will launch regular sales counters and hold fashion exhibitions at that time, while Isetan in Tianjin and Shanghai will also launch similar sales. Through Japanese animation, etc., uniforms have also begun to attract attention in China. Due to factors such as the declining birth rate in Japan, the company has also considered opening permanent stores in China in the future.
The sales deadline for Isetan in Shenyang is July 4. The “arCONOMi” brand for Japanese middle and high school students and the “arCONOMiKIDS” for elementary school students are the main products. The company plans to display about 450 categories including casual suits, skirts, shirts and ties.
The price is about 20% higher than that in Japan. Within one month, it is planned to sell about 1.5 million yen (approximately RMB 119,379).
In Japan, in addition to 6 directly-operated stores in Harajuku, Tokyo and other places, the company also has about 15 counters in department stores in the metropolitan area and Kansai region. Overseas sales have previously been dominated by temporary stores and online sales. .
