News: Textile and apparel exports were basically flat year-on-year
The latest data from the General Administration of Customs shows that in June 2012, my country’s exports of textiles and clothing were approximately US$22.888 billion, basically the same as the same period last year, with a month-on-month increase of 4.83%, and the growth rate fell by 11.31 percentage points. Among them, exports of textile yarns, fabrics and products were US$8.408 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.59%, and a month-on-month decrease of 8.88%; exports of clothing and clothing accessories were US$14.480 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 0.41%, and a month-on-month increase of 14.86%.
From January to June 2012, the cumulative exports of textiles and clothing were US$113.523 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.61%, and the growth rate slowed down by 24.13 percentage points.
