my country’s textile and apparel exports declined slightly
According to customs statistics, in the first half of this year, my country’s total foreign trade import and export value was US$1.83984 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8% (the same below). Among them, exports were US$954.38 billion, an increase of 9.2%; imports were US$885.46 billion, an increase of 6.7%; the trade surplus was US$68.92 billion, an increase of 56.4%. In June, my country’s total import and export value was US$328.69 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9%. Among them, exports were US$180.21 billion, an increase of 11.3%; imports were US$148.48 billion, an increase of 6.3%; the trade surplus was US$31.73 billion, an increase of 42.9%.
In June, textile and clothing exports were US$22.887 billion, a slight decrease of 0.1% year-on-year and an increase of 4.8% month-on-month. Among them, exports of textile yarns, fabrics and products were US$8.408 billion, a slight increase of 0.6% year-on-year, and a month-on-month decrease of 8.9%; exports of clothing and accessories were US$14.479 billion, a slight decrease of 0.4% year-on-year, and a month-on-month increase of 14.8%. In the first half of this year, textile and clothing exports were US$113.522 billion, a slight increase of 1.6% year-on-year (much lower than the 10.3% growth rate of the country’s other commodity exports). Among them, textiles reached US$46.476 billion, an increase of 1.3%, and clothing reached US$67.046 billion, an increase of 1.9%.
