Since the beginning of this year, affected by factors such as the recovery of the domestic economy, the recovery of international market demand, the return of international orders, and the low base in the same period last year, the city’s textile and garment industry has been developing well, with major economic indicators achieving rapid growth. In the first half of the year, there were a total of 374 industrial enterprises above designated size in the city’s textile and garment industry, with a cumulative operating income of 41.772 billion yuan, an increase of 20% over the same period last year. The operating income scale exceeds 1/2 of the province’s share, and the revenue growth rate is 1 percentage point higher than the provincial average; the total profit is 3.953 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 47.1%; the number of employees is about 57,000.
The outstanding results of the “mid-term exam” of the textile and apparel industry chain are inseparable from the city’s active implementation of the chain length system for key industrial chains. Faced with the complex international environment such as increased trade frictions, and the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic that has led to increased pressure on production and operations and increased uncertainties, our city has actively implemented the chain length system for key industrial chains since 2020, in accordance with the “municipal leaders, The work team is equipped with the elements of “leading department, investment service team, work plan, and promotion map” to plan the direction of industrial development, study the path of industrytransformation and upgrading, deploy specific work plans, and coordinate Solving corporate development problems and accelerating project construction, the entire industry has maintained a stable recovery development trend.
In the face of difficulties in the development of traditional industries, special funds for transformation and upgrading are used to support enterprises in implementing intelligent and green upgrades, build intelligent model factories, and create green production enterprises to promote the upgrading and development of textile and garment enterprises. In 2020, the city issued a total of 26 million yuan in subsidy funds for the upgrading and transformation projects of 29 textile and garment enterprises, accounting for 12.53% of the city’s manufacturing subsidy funds.
Facing financing difficulties, innovatively develop the supply chain financial services industry and promote the embedding of financial services into corporate operation and management scenarios to better meet the actual needs of enterprises. It has provided a total of 110 million yuan in supply chain financial support to textile and apparel companies such as Jiangxi Zhisheng Technology and Yaya Co., Ltd. The supply chain financial business in the textile and apparel industry chain has become the first of its kind in our city’s manufacturing industry, providing a model for the development of our city’s financial innovation service industry. At the same time, a number of bank-enterprise docking activities were held to promote ICBC and other banking institutions to provide regular services to textile and garment enterprises and promote in-depth docking of industry and finance.
Faced with sales difficulties, we actively organized activities such as Down Clothing Week and Jiujiang Clothing and Shoes Industry Festival. The first Gongqing City Down Clothing Week with the theme of “Gongqing Down Jackets Warms the World” was successfully held. The production and sales docking activities were held at the factory door and new sales channels were explored. The Jiujiang Clothing and Shoes Industry Festival event “New Fashion in Spring and Summer, Look at Pohu in Clothes” was held on the JD platform. During the event, a total of 43 live broadcasts were organized to bring goods, with a total exposure of over 12 million, and a cumulative sales of nearly 10 million Yuan.
In the face of labor difficulties, we vigorously launched the “Millions of Online and Offline Recruitment” special campaign, and insisted on “step-by-step” online and offline efforts to help solve the problem of recruitment difficulties for enterprises in the industrial chain. In the first half of this year, the city held more than 50 job fairs for Yaya Co., Ltd., Jiangxi Changjiu Clothing Co., Ltd. and other textile and garment enterprises and their supporting industries, introducing more than 500talents. Conduct a survey on the current situation of industry professionals, explore the necessity and feasibility of characteristic evaluation of the textile and clothing industry, and take a positive step towards carrying out characteristic evaluation of the textile and clothing industry as our city’s characteristic industry.
