College student textile aid group’s summer practice supports Xinjiang cotton

Every year in July and August, Xinjiang cotton enters the flowering and boll stage. This year, a total of 69 teachers and students from textile colleges across the country formed 10 teams and went to two autonomous prefectures and 3 cities (districts) in Xinjiang to carry out summer social practice. The textile subject has always been a dominant subject of Donghua University. Since 2011, the aid group to Xinjiang has taken advantage of the subject’s advantages to continue to carry out practical projects such as policy theory promotion, technical training and social surveys in the local area. In the past 10 years, the team has traveled to 5 autonomous prefectures and 13 cities (districts) in Xinjiang, visited more than 430 companies, trained more than 20,000 corporate employees, signed more than 30 cooperation agreements, and completed a total of 800,000 words of research reports, attracting and driving A large number of teachers and students from textile colleges across the country actively joined the practice team and “spun” a unique road to aid Xinjiang.

“We usually focus on practical operations in the workshop and rarely come into contact with theory.
