Esquel Group’s Xinjiang subsidiary was included in the “Entity List” and sued the US government and won an initial victory

According to a joint motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Tuesday, the U.S. End-User Review Committee finally voted to ban Hong Kong textile and apparel manufacturer Esquel Group under certain conditions. Subsidiary Changji Esquel was removed from the so-called Entity List.
The End-User Review Committee is composed of interagency representatives from the U.S. Departments of Commerce, State, Defense, Energy, and Treasury (as applicable) and is responsible for determining whether to list an entity. Checklist.
“The parties are currently engaged in further discussions regarding these conditions,” the latest motion states.
In the motion, both parties asked the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to postpone the next scheduled hearing in the case until September while the parties continue discussions and the litigation is ongoing.
