Xinjiang Jinghe: Cotton grows normally and cotton enterprises complete maintenance

Xinjiang Jinghe County is affiliated to the Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture in western Xinjiang and grows about 1.2 million acres of cotton all year round. Recently, the local temperature has dropped due to rainfall.

The person in charge of a local cotton company said that the current growth of cotton fields is normal, but after rains, cotton farmers need to control the amount of water dripping according to the actual conditions of the cotton fields to prevent the cotton from being greedy and late maturing. If there is no adverse weather impact in the later period, the local average yield will be around 400 kg/mu. Up to now, the workshop maintenance work of the cotton ginning mill affiliated to the company has been completed.
