At present, cotton peaches have begun to sprout in early-transplanted cotton fields, but a small number of fields have more rotten peaches.
It is understood that there was rainfall in the local area in August this year, but it had little impact on cotton growth. Most of the cotton turned out normally. Only some low-lying cotton fields had water accumulation and the cotton had rotten peach phenomena. These rotten peaches can only be picked by spreading them out and peeling them by hand. A local cotton farmer said that he will plant 8 acres of cotton this year, which is nearly half less than last year. Cotton is growing very well in the early stage. It is optimistically estimated that the unit production capacity of seed cotton will exceed 600 kilograms in the previous two years. However, heavy rainfall and continuous rain have caused great damage to cotton in low-lying cotton fields. Not only have flower buds fallen off seriously, but they have also induced insect pests such as leafhoppers and bug bugs, causing cotton leaves to turn yellow, scorch, curl, and buds to fall off. , it is expected that the seed cotton production reduction will reach 50%.
