Dalian University of Technology leads domestic “green textile” research

As a form of cross-border cooperation, the integration of fashion and technology is receiving more and more attention. The 6th Art and Fashion IntegrationTechnology Innovation Academic Forum kicked off yesterday, with the theme of “Fashion·Technology·Integration·Innovation”, focusing on the integration of textile and clothing design and technology, Topics include innovative development of fashion brands and new materials, exploring new trends in the creative industry under the background of scientific and technological progress and the upgrading of the contemporary fashion industry.

This forum is co-sponsored by the China (Dalian) International Clothing and Textile Fair Office and Dalian University of Technology. Wang Xiushan, vice president and professor of Dalian University of Technology, Xia Jize, chief economist of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and Ni Yangsheng, executive vice president of the China Textile and Clothing Education Society, delivered speeches respectively. Luo Jingjie, associate professor at the School of Fashion and Art Design of Donghua University, Liang Jian, chairman of Shenyang Flying Ship Digital Printing Equipment Co., Ltd., Qu An, senior lecturer at the University of Southampton, UK, and Zheng Laijiu, professor at Dalian University of Technology, gave keynote speeches respectively. Participants agreed that high technology has always led the fashion industry, and high technology is now in a more critical and important position.

Luo Jingjie said in his speech that over the past 30 years, China’s fashion industry consumption has gone through three major stages: product consumption stage, brand consumption stage, and event consumption stage. Different stages have different demands for products, and each era requires practitioners to have a keen sense of the industry. The fashion industry should use digital empowerment to reshape the meaning and prospects of industry development. Liang Jian introduced the world’s first one-time double-sided printing technology, showing people the combination of science and art and the development of interdisciplinary concepts. Qu An believes that the current connection between technology and clothing can quickly promote environmental improvement and earth protection, promote the rationalization of the system of clothing production factories, and optimize the use and management of labor and chemicals.

According to reports, Dalian University of Technology is currently in a leading position in the domestic textile carbon peak and carbon neutral research fields. At this stage, the “stuck neck” problem has been solved in the research on color matching and matching of supercritical carbon dioxide fluids, the color matching performance of three primary color dyes has been clarified, a one-step color matching process has been invented, and the most difficult dark dyeing problem has been basically solved. At present, the engineering of multi-element supercritical carbon dioxide water-free dyeing has been realized, and the water-free dyeing technology has been extended to the field of auxiliary materials. The team is conducting research on supercritical carbon dioxide fluid dyeing technology for natural dyes, and has conducted in-depth exploration in supercritical carbon dioxide extraction dyeing technology and artistic dyeing research.
