Beijing Consumers Association: 22 pieces of casual clothing did not meet the standards! Involving multiple e-commerce platforms
On September 14, the Beijing Consumers Association released the results of a comparative test on casual clothing. After testing, 22 of the 70 casual clothing samples did not meet the relevant standard requirements. Among them, 15 samples purchased from a platform did not meet the standard requirements.
Casual clothing involves a wide range of categories, including jackets, denim clothing, dresses, skirt sets, casual pants (skirts), casual tops, cotton clothing, washed and finished clothing, windbreakers, silkClothing, knitted T-shirts, knitted casual clothing, knitted craft shirts, knitted splicing clothing, etc.
The samples for the comparison test were collected by Beijing Consumers Association staff as ordinary consumers from Tmall, JD.com, Taobao, Pinduoduo, Suning.com, Vipshop, etc.E-commerce platform randomly purchased, involving a total of 70 casual clothing samples.
After testing, 22 of the 70 casual clothing samples did not meet the relevant standards; the problematic samples came from 4 e-commerce platforms: 3 pieces from JD.com, 3 pieces from Taobao, and 15 pieces from Pinduoduo (a total of 15 pieces were purchased from Pinduoduo) samples, all of which did not meet the standard requirements), 1 piece from Suning.com.
The Beijing Consumers Association reminds consumers that when purchasing related products, they should try to choose brands with good reputations in regular business premises and e-commerce platforms. They should retain the shopping voucher when purchasing. Quality can be used as an important certificate for consumer rights protection when there is a problem. At the same time, when purchasing casual clothing products, you should pay attention to the logo, workmanship, and smell.
