The finals of the China-Italy Youth Future Fashion Design Competition will be held soon

Reporters learned yesterday from the China Textile City Construction Management Committee that the finals of the first Sino-Italian Youth Future Fashion Design Competition will be held in Beijing on October 20. The award ceremony will be held at the opening show of the 10th Keqiao Fashion Week 2021 on October 26, when fashion eyes will once again focus on Keqiao.

The Sino-Italian Youth Future Fashion Design Competition, with the theme of “Science and Technology”, is committed to connecting the resources of fashion design, innovative education, academic research and industry incubation, deepening the integration of design innovation and industry and education, and advocating the integration of art and technology. Using beauty as a medium, we build an international fashion innovation platform, explore cutting-edge fashion trends, and lead future fashion ideas.

This competition is co-sponsored by Tsinghua University, Politecnico di Milano and Keqiao District People’s Government. It is mainly open to young innovators in the field of fashion and design, mainly from China and Italy, and covers three categories: fashion design, fashion technology and fashion life. track. The competition held a launch ceremony at the 9th Keqiao Fashion Week on May 6 this year, and a collection press conference was held at Tsinghua Science and Technology Park on July 8. The collection of works was completed at the end of September, and a total of 1,331 works from 12 countries were received, and 30 works entered the finals.

It is worth noting that this competition will provide Keqiao with Chinese and Italian fashion design talents. The five outstanding contestants from the competition will be directly selected into the “Jingwei Plan” for creative design talents in Keqiao District.

In mid-April this year, Keqiao District and Tsinghua University signed a cooperation agreement to jointly build the “China-Italy Future Fashion Innovation Center” platform, including organizing international talent exchange activities in the field of fashion innovation, establishing a future fashion research scholar project, and developing the fashion industry Innovation and international cooperation, serving Keqiao to carry out innovation and entrepreneurship in the fashion industry, jointly organizing the Sino-Italian Youth Future Fashion Design Competition, building the Sino-Italian Future Fashion Museum to carry out exhibitions and exchange activities, and helping Keqiao’s textile industry move towards the world.

The outstanding works of this competition will also be exhibited at the Sino-Italian Future Fashion Museum during the 10th Keqiao Fashion Week in 2021.
