Recently, the first “medicinal coat” made of special fabric invented by Yu Husheng, a professor at the School of Textile of Qingdao University, was completed at a clothing company in Jimo City, Shandong Province. A new type of textile fiber fabric developed using extracts of isatis leaves can resist a variety of germs. This technology is the first of its kind at home and abroad. It has passed the certification of the National Ecological Textile Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, applied for its own trademark and patent, and will soon begin mass production and listing.
Fibers are extracted from isatis leaves and woven into cloth. This special new cloth looks no different from ordinary cloth and has no special smell. “This cloth is not an ordinary cloth. It contains the extract of Daqingye, which can resist a variety of cold germs.” The general manager of the clothing company said that this technology was jointly developed by the company and the Textile College of Qingdao University. After fiber is extracted from isatis leaves and woven into fabric, it goes through more than 10 processes to make underwear that can resist cold germs.
“At present, this technology is internationally advanced and the first of its kind at home and abroad.” A staff member of the Jimo Science and Technology Bureau said that at the end of last year, the Science and Technology Bureau organized experts to review and evaluate the results. The participating experts unanimously believed that the results reached reached the international leading level. In addition, the Chinese Academy of Sciences also conducted an analysis and test on the product. The product contains the active ingredients of Daqingye and has high antibacterial efficiency. “Tests show that the antibacterial efficiency of knitted fabrics made of Daqingye viscose fiber is still greater than 99% after being washed 50 times.” Yu Husheng introduced that knitted fabrics made of Daqingye viscose fiber contain Daqing The leaf extract content can reach 30%.
Speaking of “Medicine Coat”, the person in charge of the Jimo Science and Technology Bureau said that this is a very representative invention project with relatively high technological content introduced by the Jimo Science and Technology Bureau, and has passed the review of the national technology department. From the appearance point of view, this cloth is no different from other cloths, but the fibers of the cloth are extracted from the leaves of Isatis root. After the first “medicated coat” is made, it will open up a new field in Jimo’s knitting industry. This kind of underwear containing 30% isatis root can effectively inhibit a variety of germs. The next step will be to focus on infant underwear.
