Queuing up for basket loading, grade inspection, weighing, and billing… Recently, the cocoon collection point in Xinjian Town, Fenggang County has been very busy, with sericulture farmers driving tricycles or vans to transport cocoons for sale.
It is reported that Xinjian Town currently has a mulberry garden area of 3,100 acres and more than 600 sericulture planting and breeding households. The town has built more than 30 sericulture houses through the “branch + company + farmer” organizational method. It also uses the “one-to-one” guarantee system to deliver planting and breeding technology to every sericulture planting and breeding farmer to ensure that farmers can grow well. Mulberry, raise silkworms, and sell them at a high price. At present, each village community in the town has produced 1,400 kilograms of silkworm cocoons, which are sold at an average price of 46 yuan per kilogram, effectively increasing the income of farmers.
