Dr Andreas Neudeck of the Thuringia Vogt Iand Textile Institute in Germany and his research team are developing a process that enables the structure of the base fabric to conduct locally, and combines sensors and exciters to form a microelectric system on the surface of textile garments.
This technology is divided into two aspects: first, use traditional techniques such as jacquard weaving, warp knitting, knitting, weaving or embroidery to deposit silver metal on polyamide fibers as the base structure; then the parent body of the base structure must be passed through electricity Couple and electrochemical treatments change the conductivity and surface properties.
After processing, the conductivity of the base layer can be increased by 3 times, and the functional needs can be completed with the help of microelectronics and sensor technology. Based on this woven structure and special fiber structure, the research team successfully developed a fabric light source. In screen printing, color patterns are printed on the fabric by means of a microcapsule sealed zinc sulfide particle color paste containing copper, which can emit light by excitation by the fabric electrodes.
