Southwest University’s “Light of Silk” participated in the National “13th Five-Year Plan” Science and Technology Innovation Achievements Exhibition

The National “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan“Technological Innovation Achievements Exhibition will be held from October 21st to 27th Held at Beijing Exhibition Hall.

Recommended by the Southwest University Science and Technology Association, the “Light of Silk” Biology Research Center was selected to represent Chongqing City in the popular science exhibition area of the Achievements Exhibition. As the key display content of the exhibition area, it showcases the sericulture industry technology and silk of the school’s Biology Research Center. New materials research, as well as innovative labor education and other scientific and technological achievements.

On October 19, Vice Premier Liu He inspected the layout of the Achievements Exhibition and inspected the key exhibits in each exhibition area. In the school exhibition area, Professor Xia Qingyou introduced the main content of “The Light of Silk” to Liu He. During the exhibition, leaders such as Minister of Science and Technology Wang Zhigang, Vice Minister of Science and Technology Li Meng, Deputy Director of the Science Popularization Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology Li Yong, and Deputy Director of Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau Chen Jun also led a team to inspect the school’s booth. During the seven-day external exhibition, the “Light of Silk” exhibits received enthusiastic attention from the visitors and great love from the children.

This achievement exhibition has a total of 12 exhibition areas, with the theme of “Innovation-driven development towards a scientific and technological power”, comprehensively demonstrating the implementation of the Party Central Committee’s major decisions and arrangements on scientific and technological work since the “13th Five-Year Plan”, and the in-depth implementation of innovation-driven development The major achievements in strategy and building an innovative country demonstrate the important supporting and leading role of scientific and technological innovation in my country’s economic and social development. It is the highest-level achievement exhibition in the country.
