Hangzhou Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau leaders led a team to investigate the Babei Group’s factory-based sericulture project
On November 4, Zhuo Qilong, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Level 2 Inspector of the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, led a team to Shengzhou to conduct research on the factory-based sericulture project of Zhejiang Babei Group. Relevant personnel from Hangzhou Sericulture Technology Promotion Station, Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences Sericulture Research Institute and other relevant personnel participated in the survey.
The research team visited the exhibition hall of Babei Group and the factory-based sericulture project, and listened to relevant introductions. Since 2012, Babei Group has cooperated with the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences to conduct large-scale research on the artificial feed sericulture model. After 7 years of arduous research and development, hundreds of millions of R&D funds have been invested, and thousands of studies have been carried out. With the pilot test, a large amount of test data was accumulated, and a high-density full-age artificial feed factory sericulture project was finally successfully completed. For the first time, a new model of low-cost factory-based sericulture with large-scale, high-density, and continuous production throughout the year has been realized.
Zhuo Qilong said that the success of the factory-based sericulture project not only subverted the 5,000-year-old traditional sericulture model, but also overcame the global problem of factory-based sericulture. Zhuo Qilong requested that Hangzhou, as the most important high-quality cocoon production base in the province and the first region to cooperate with the Babei Group on factory-based sericulture projects, the Municipal Sericulture Technology Promotion Station should make full use of its own advantages, proactively connect, plan as early as possible, and actively Carry out more diversified cooperation with Babei Group to promote the highquality development of Hangzhou’s sericulture industry.
