Zhejiang Province Silkworm Breed Inspection Work Exchange Meeting was held in Jiaxing
In order to further improve silkworm seed inspection work and strengthen silkworm seed quality management, on November 17, the Zhejiang Province Silkworm Breed Inspection Work Exchange Meeting was held in Jiaxing . Wu Haiping, deputy director of the Zhejiang Provincial Agricultural Technology Promotion Center, and Shen Xiaohua, a fourth-level researcher from the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, attended the meeting. More than 60 people, including heads of relevant municipal and county sericulture business stations and heads of silkworm seed production and business units, attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Pan Meiliang, Section Chief of the Sericulture Section of the Provincial Agricultural Technology Extension Center, introduced the province’s sericulture production situation and gave a detailed interpretation of the provincial government’s guidance on the high-quality development of sericulture. Meng Zhengle, section chief of the Silkworm Seed Inspection Section of the Provincial Agricultural Technology Extension Center, introduced this year’s silkworm seed inspection, refrigeration, and pickling work. Secretary-General Zhang Xueming of the Provincial Silkworm Seed Industry Association reported on the main work of the association this year. Representatives from various places, especially business representatives, conducted exchanges and discussions on the characteristics of sericulture production in Zhejiang Province, the difficulties faced by silkworm seed production, and the future development trends of the silkworm seed industry.
Wu Haiping emphasized: First, we must fully understand the new opportunities faced by the sericulture industry in the new era, identify the entry point, and proactively integrate into the general development trend of the times; second, we must straighten out the relationship between silkworm seed quality management and inspection and create good market development. order; third, we must focus on innovation and change methods to promote high-quality development of the sericulture industry; fourth, we must increase policy guidance and fully serve the development of the sericulture and silkworm seed industry.
