Recently, the 4th China University Intelligent Robot Creative Competition and the 2021 China Intelligent Robot Fighting and Competition Competition held their finals online due to the needs of epidemic prevention and control. In the Chinese University Intelligent Robot Creative Competition, the GKD team formed by Yang Xin and Hu Qiushi won the third prize in the “Unified Component Group Wheeled Autonomous Fighting Group”. The theme of both competitions is wheel-based autonomous fighting. Wheeled autonomous fighting is a confrontational robot competition, which is similar to a human arena competition. Two self-made robots use different control methods to find opponents in a square arena, and use actuators allowed by the rules to attack each other. Achieve the purpose of knocking down the opponent or knocking the opponent off the ring. The 2021 Wheeled Autonomous Fighting Competition adds visual processing content. In addition to normal ring fighting, participating robots must also be able to distinguish energy blocks on the ring, which greatly increases the technical difficulty of the competition.
The main purpose of this competition is to promote the popularization of intelligent robot technology. Participating teams need to fight against each other within the rules with autonomous robots they have assembled or made themselves, and strive to win the competition, using the form of confrontational competition to promote the popularization and development of related robotics technology in universities.
Since the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Club took part in the competition, it has actively organized club members to participate. After many weeks of full preparation, many participating teams finally entered the finals. As the finals approached, the club formed a learning atmosphere of chasing each other and helping each other. Although we experienced many difficulties, everyone worked together and finally performed stably in the finals, winning one second prize and two third prizes.
The China University Intelligent Robot Creative Competition is a widely influential national subject competition. The competition is held once a year and has been held for three consecutive years.
