An expert group from Yunnan Agricultural University went to Panjiang, Qujing to guide sericulture industry work
It is now the critical season for winter management of sericulture. In order to promote the high-quality development of the sericulture industry in Panjiang Town, Professor of Yunnan Agricultural University and Chief of Mulberry Diseases and Pests in the sericulture system Expert teacher Zhang Ze and other experttalents went to Panjiang Town, Qujing City to guide the development of the sericulture industry.
The expert group visited Fangcheng Community, Xiaohousuo, Zhongcun and other village committees in Panjiang Town to check and understand the management of mulberry orchards, and provided guidance on mulberry orchard variety selection, cultivation management, disease prevention and other aspects. After visiting and understanding, the expert group fully affirmed the achievements made in the construction of high-quality mulberry orchard base and industrial cultivation in Panjiang Town.
At the same time, the expert group put forward specific suggestions for the development of the sericulture industry in Panjiang Town. The first is to seize opportunities, make full use of regional advantages, and plan construction rationally; the second is to effectively integrate project funds and develop the sericulture industry with high quality; the third is to strengthen technical training and technical services, vigorously promote modern sericulture technology, and improve the quality and efficiency of silkworm cocoons. Realize the revitalization of rural industries.
At present, 10 villages (communities) and 47 natural villages in the town have established sericulture bases, with an area of 46,800 acres of mulberry fields, 49,500 seeds, and a fresh cocoon output of more than 2 million kilograms. The output value of fresh cocoons and primary processing reached 120 million yuan, and the comprehensive output value of sericulture reached more than 200 million yuan.
