Graduates from Southwest University majoring in sericulture went to Ningnan to carry out comprehensive internship

On December 3, 14 2018 Sericulture graduates led by Professor Wang Qiling, Director of the Sericulture Department of the School of Sericulture, Textile and Biomass Science of Southwest University, went to the Nan Silk Road Group Company in Ningnan County, Sichuan Province for Two-week comprehensive internship for graduation. This is the first in-depth cooperation between Ningnan County and Southwest University. It is an important beginning of university-enterprise cooperation and is highly valued by the county committee and government.

This graduation internship arrangement is rich in content, including in-depth understanding of mulberry winter and spring management, silk reeling technology training, sericulture by-product development and e-commerce training, and hotel management Training, etc., basically covering the sericulture industry chain in Ningnan County. Before the start of the internship, the relevant person in charge of the County South Silk Road Group led Professor Wang and the students to visit Biwo Modern Agriculture Park, Yinhong Silk Industry, Jinsang Manor and other places where the internship will be held, and talked about the history, development status and future of Ningnan’s sericulture industry planning. During the visit, the students marveled at the scale and rich industrial chain of Ningnan sericulture. Professor Wang said that students need a platform that can combine book knowledge with practice, and expressed his gratitude to Ningnan County and South Silk Road Group Company for providing such a good internship platform. Both parties stated that the college and the group company should strengthen similar cooperation. The college provides talents and technical support, and the company provides materials and platform venues to exchange and learn from each other, establish in-depth cooperative relations, and provide sericulture services.
