Cotton output and price in Anhui Province increased this year
Last week (December 6-12), domestic and foreign cotton prices fluctuated weakly due to factors such as the central bank’s RRR cut and better U.S. cotton contracting data. As of December 10, the finished product inventory of cotton yarn of a company in Dongzhi, Anhui Province has reached 28 days, which is the highest level in the past five years. This has put cotton prices under pressure to a certain extent. . Up to now, the local purchase price of seed cotton has been decreasing steadily, with seed cotton quoted at 4.46-5-4.60 yuan/catty, and lint quoted at 20,700-21,100 yuan/ton.
It was learned from the Price and Cost Investigation and Supervision Bureau of the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission that cotton output and price in Anhui Province increased this year, and the cash income from cotton planting reached the highest level in the past five years. This year, the cotton lint yield per mu in Anhui Province was 79 kilograms, an increase of 10.24 kilograms or 14.89% from the previous year’s 68.76 kilograms. It is understood that the average selling price of cotton in Anhui this year is 929.41 yuan (calculated based on 50 kilograms), an increase of 232.53 yuan, or 33.37%, from 696.88 yuan last year.
