The 2021 annual meeting of the Weaving Machinery Branch of the China Textile Machinery Association was held in Suzhou
On the afternoon of December 27, 2021, the 2021 Annual Meeting of the Weaving Machinery Branch of the China Textile Machinery Association was held in Suzhou. Gu Ping, President of China Textile Machinery Association, Li Xueqing, Deputy Chief Engineer and other association leaders and representatives from the weaving machinery industry attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Li Xueqing.
Meeting host
Gu Ping said in his speech that enterprises in the weaving machinery industry have some issues that need to be paid attention to: First, judging from the consumption of fiber in China and globally, knitted fabrics are constantly replacing woven fabrics. Data statistics show that in the 10 years from 2010 to 2020, the development of knitting machinery is faster than that of woven machines, and shuttleless loom manufacturing companies need to speed up their pace; secondly, the current expansion of industry giants has made the development of small and micro enterprises worried, and Intensive exploration of some clusters also needs to be further matured, and some small and micro enterprises are beginning to look for ways to transform; third, according to ITMF statistics, the global market share of water-jet looms is much higher than that of air-jet looms and rapier looms , there is still a long way to go to further narrow the gap with world-class manufacturers, and at the same time, we must accelerate the expansion of product application areas; fourth, during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, companies need to seriously think about how to better serve users while harvesting markets and development. The Textile Machinery Association will further do a good job in market and exhibition work to support the healthy and long-term development of industry enterprises.
Industry operation
Liu Ming, the previous president of the Weaving Machinery Branch of the China Textile Machinery Association and general manager of Picanol (Suzhou Industrial Park) Textile Machinery Co., Ltd., shared his current market feelings. He said that this year’s market is unprecedented in ten years. The last time the market changed was during the financial crisis in 2008. Since China entered the WTO, there have been very few years when such a big market change has occurred. It can even be described as earth-shaking. In the first half of the year, Orders are saturated, but there are very few orders in the second half of the year. It is true that various reasons have caused such fluctuations: the epidemic is the primary influencing factor; secondly, due to large deviations in the supply chain, the production arrangements and cost control of manufacturing companies have been affected. Yes, there is great pressure; third, policy changes and unexpected “power outages” have caused a lot of trouble. However, equipment manufacturers are relatively lucky and can produce equipment in advance. However, a large number of customers bought the equipment in advance and then the power went out when it was turned on, and then there was no business. There is still a lot of pressure, so we must fully understand the difficulties of customers and invest in the past two years. The return on corporate investment in new machines is not ideal, and it will be a long process to recoup the investment next year.
The situation reported by Picanol Corporation is not optimistic. The flow of foreign orders back to China is a short-lived phenomenon. Many foreign customers have received clear signals to expand production capacity and withhold orders from the Chinese market. Picanol’s delivery times are also back to the longest in history.
Liu Ming said that whether it is from the business itself or non-business factors, there is great uncertainty in the development situation, so we must maintain a high degree of vigilance in the business process and think deeply about how to continue research and developmentNew products, keep going. If the epidemic ends next year, it is unclear whether it will be good or bad for our industry. It is not ruled out that some customers who are forced to purchase from China will disappear. On the contrary, it is also an opportunity for us. The key depends on how we practice our own internal skills and how we consider the unsatisfactory market environment, international environment and other issues in the next two or three years.
Liu Ming believes that first of all, we must consider whether we can save costs, improve efficiency, and reduce labor; secondly, we must maintain some basic business bottom lines, adhere to industry self-discipline, and maintain healthy competition. Taken together, the future is bright. Although it will not grow as fast as in the past, it is an experience for the company. The process may be painful, but it must return to its roots, stick to its business, and work more on its flagship products.
Mei Baolong, engineer of the Second Industry Department of China Textile Machinery Association, gave a speech on the technological development and market analysis of the weaving machinery industry. He said that at present, the enterprise side pays more attention to lean management of the production process, and the degree of automation is constantly improving, gradually realizing “multi-variety” and “small batch” flexible production; on the product side, weaving and preparation machinery companies pay more attention to optimizing product details, and further To improve equipment performance, the level of automation and informatization continues to improve, and gradually develops in the direction of high speed and energy saving; on the user side, the continuity and informatization level of weaving enterprises continue to improve, and the Internet of Things, smart warehousing and logistics transportation in the weaving workshop are being implemented and continue to advance The whole process of warping, sizing, drawing-in and weaving is automated and continuous.
In terms of product development and design, the foreign research content on beat-up systems, weft insertion systems and shedding mechanisms was introduced. It is hoped that enterprises and universities will pay attention to the coupling design of weaving technology and machinery in the future, strengthen basic theoretical research, and form A closed loop from theoretical research to experimental verification and then to theoretical research. At the same time, he also introduced the science and technology guidance plan, science and technology appraisal, industry standards, “14th Five-Year Plan” industry development guiding opinions and other aspects.
In addition, he compared the sales data of shuttleless looms in the past five years and <font colo, but from 2008 to now, the proportion of foreign looms in the Chinese market has become smaller and smaller. More than 4,000 foreign air-jet looms have been sold in the Chinese market this year, but they mainly focus on industrial fabrics such as glass fiber, or Lanxi, etc. Partial stock market orders. Domestic looms have gradually squeezed out the share of imported looms at a rate of 3% to 5% per year, so everyone should not be too pessimistic. The important thing is to cultivate your internal skills and become more refined. Be cutting-edge and pay attention to the development trend of intelligence. The market expectations for next year cannot yet be determined. China’s market is trying to find balance in dynamics. Global production capacity may be reallocated in the post-epidemic era, but companies that are prepared will definitely be able to better seize opportunities.
Liu Qunxin, President of Niupai Textile Machinery, said that the textile industry is an industry that will never decline, so in difficult times, confidence is more important than anything else. Market competition is inevitable. Without competition, there is no motivation. Survival of the fittest is also a natural law. , we must focus on our industry. Niupai Textile Machinery has also made remarkable achievements. For example, the daily output of cam openings has reached 130 units, which is still in short supply. What’s more important is refined management, which requires innovative management, which is more important than technological innovation. Niupai Textile Machinery itself is also constantly improving. It has introduced management consulting companies to help the company improve, and has benefited a lot from it.
In addition, Wan Zuqian, chairman of Wanli Textile Machinery, reminded industry companies to pay attention to market order and not to engage in vicious competition. Qian Chenhui, Vice President of Changshu Textile Machinery, said that Changshu Textile Machinery is constantly exploring technology and is confident that it will continue to make efforts for the localization of high-speed dobby. The business representatives of Qingdao Tai Precision hope to hear more analysis and judgment on the industry at this meeting and find the accurate path for future development.
Through the in-depth discussions and exchanges at this meeting, the participants all expressed that they have gained a lot and will work hard to improve their internal skills, enhance their competitiveness, and strive for more market initiative amid various uncertainties in the future.
