According to the survey, the average selling price of mulberry cocoons per 50 kilograms in surveyed households in 2021 increased by 27.91% compared with the same period last year; the cash income per mu increased by 47.28% compared with the same period last year. Zhejiang and other foreign purchasers have significantly reduced their purchases of mulberry cocoons in Maoming City, and the price of mulberry cocoons continues to fall. , the purchase price is as low as 25 yuan/kg. As the epidemic situation improves, market demand gradually recovers. The purchase price of mulberry cocoons in 2021 is 35-47 yuan/kg, with many batches priced at 41-42 yuan/kg. Compared with 2020, the income of surveyed households has increased significantly.
During the investigation, the reporter learned that the surveyed households expect that the economy will continue to improve in 2022 and that raising mulberry cocoons will yield better returns. They also hope that relevant government departments will continue to pay attention to the development of the sericulture industry, provide industrial support, and continue to increase support for mulberry farmers and mulberry cocoons.
