Sichuan Sericulture Innovation Team: Eight aspects work together to achieve innovation goals
Spring is here, and the mulberry trees in the Wusheng County Sericulture Modern Agriculture Park located in Menshan Township, Wusheng County, Guang’an City have sprouted spring buds and are growing well; while in Sichuan Shanghao Tea Co., Ltd. located in Jialing District, Nanchong City At the company base, workers are busy picking fresh mulberry buds. Both places are one of the sericulture industry base counties served by the Sichuan Sericulture Innovation Team (hereinafter referred to as the “Innovation Team”) of the National Modern Agricultural Industry Technology System.
Liu Gang, director of the Sericulture Research Institute of the Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences and chief expert of the innovation team, said that the innovation team achieved great results last year, mainly in serving the construction of sericulture parks across the province and serving the high-end sericulture industryQualitydevelopment and solving the urgent difficulties and worries at the grassroots level.
In terms of serving the construction of sericulture parks across the province, the innovation team provided planning, technological support, consulting and other services, focusing on 5 industrial base counties (districts) such as Jialing District and Wusheng County, and held more than 20 discussions and exchanges, and passed Sign technical service agreements and licenses with base counties (districts) to achieve full coverage of the Sichuan Sericulture Innovation Team’s science and technology demonstration base. Up to now, 3 provincial academician (expert) workstations have been established in Ningnan County, Jialing District, and Wusheng County in the demonstration counties, and 6 municipal academician (expert) workstations have been established in Fucheng District, the demonstration county.
In terms of serving the high-quality development of the sericulture industry, the innovation team accelerated breakthrough variety innovation. The Provincial Sericulture Institute, Nanchong Silkworm Breeding Farm, Santai Silkworm Breeding Farm, and Langzhong Silkworm Breeding Farm were respectively identified as provincial-level silkworm and mulberry germplasm resource protection units in January 2022. The census and rescue collection of sericulture germplasm resources are carried out successfully launch. At the same time, the innovation team carried out research on key technologies of the entire sericulture industry chain, and researched and integrated 5 technologies including safe and efficient fertilization technology for mulberry gardens and mulberry branch edible fungi (shiitake mushroom) cultivation technology, which were selected as the main agricultural technologies in Sichuan Province.
In order to solve the urgent problems and worries at the grassroots level, we selected technical backbones to serve local areas and went to demonstration counties or demonstration bases for 100 times of guidance. More than 1,700 people were trained. Four emergency plans including the “Sichuan Sericulture Agricultural Machinery Accident Emergency Plan” were formulated. , “Guarding” the development of the sericulture industry in Sichuan Province.
In 2022, the innovation team will focus on eight aspects: autonomous and controllable seed sources, key common technologies, national food security, industrial quality and efficiency improvement, industrial transformation and development, education center construction, target performance assessment, and team image building Work together to realize new scientific and technological varieties of sericulture seeds, new green and low-carbon sericulture technologies, new grain and economic composite management models, new simple and efficient intelligent equipment, and new sericulture resource utilizationnew products, the new mechanism of sericulture and agriculture, new achievements of the physical and chemical innovation team, and strengthened innovation goals to enhance the new image of the innovation team.
