In December 2015, the total value of textiles and clothing imported into the United States was US$8.146 billion, a year-on-year increase of 2.08% and a month-on-month decrease of 1.14%. Among them, textiles and clothing imports from China were US$3.000 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.28%, a month-on-month decrease of 4.12%, accounting for 36.82% of the total U.S. imports; textiles and clothing imports from Vietnam were US$818 million, a year-on-year increase of 11.83%, a month-on-month increase of 0.04%, accounting for 36.82% of the total. 10.04% of the share; textiles and clothing imported from India were US$520 million, a year-on-year increase of 1.23%, a month-on-month decrease of 2.21%, accounting for 6.38% of the total share.
In 2015, the United States imported a total of US$111.928 billion in textiles and clothing, a year-on-year increase of 4.16%. Among them, the cumulative imports of textiles and clothing from China were US$43.219 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.35%; the cumulative imports of textiles and clothing from Vietnam were US$11.290 billion, a year-on-year increase of 13.41%; the cumulative imports of textiles and clothing from India were US$7.270 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8.24%.
