According to China Customs statistics, the national yarn import and export volume from January to February 2016 was 990,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.5%; the import and export volume was US$2.54 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 18.9%. Among them, the export value was US$1.55 billion, down 15.4%; the average export unit price was US$2.45/kg, down 17.7% year-on-year. In February, China’s yarn exports to Japan were US$60 million, a decrease of 17.1%. Exports to North America were US$80 million, down 22.1%. Exports to the EU and Latin America were US$170 million and US$80 million, down 7.7% and 25.5% respectively. Among them, exports to EU country Portugal increased, with an increase of 5.9%.
