In March 2016, Vietnam exported $1.862 billion in textiles and clothing, a year-on-year increase of 14.40%, and a month-on-month increase of 51.46%; the export of yarn was 100,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.76%, and a month-on-month decrease of 63.10%.
In March 2016, Vietnam imported 75,500 tons of yarn, a slight decrease of 0.51% year-on-year, and an increase of 65.15% month-on-month; imported cotton was 93,100 tons, a decrease of 14.72% year-on-year, and an increase of 25.75% month-on-month; imported fabrics were US$828 million, an increase of 10.72% year-on-year. A month-on-month increase of 57.64%.
From January to March 2016, Vietnam exported a total of US$5.093 billion in textiles and clothing, a year-on-year increase of 4.22%; a total of 239,900 tons of yarn was exported, a year-on-year increase of 9.54%.
From January to March 2016, Vietnam imported a total of 188,400 tons of yarn, a year-on-year increase of 2.57%; a total of 260,900 tons of cotton, a year-on-year increase of 7.90%; and a total of US$2.119 billion in fabric imports, a year-on-year increase of 1.25%.
