According to customs statistics, my country’s exports of textiles and clothing in May 2016 were approximately US$23.516 billion, a slight increase of 0.53% year-on-year and a month-on-month increase of 12.74%. Among them, exports of textile yarns, fabrics and products were US$10.205 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.59%, and a month-on-month increase of 5.60%; exports of clothing and clothing accessories were US$13.311 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 0.27%, and a month-on-month increase of 18.90%.
From January to May 2016, my country’s total exports of textiles and clothing were US$101.016 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 1.98%. Among them, exports of textile yarns, fabrics and products were US$43.325 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 0.31%; exports of clothing and clothing accessories were US$57.692 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 3.19%.
