Kim Jong-un: Inspecting a textile factory is like entering a new world
According to a June 21 report from Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the Workers’ Party of Korea, North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong-un recently inspected Kim Jong-sook’s Pyongyang textile factory to learn about the production and operation of North Korea’s textile industry.
Kim Jong-un said during the inspection: “Inspecting the textile factory is like entering a new world. This factory is the best among the factories I have inspected recently, both in terms of production and life and culture.”
Kim Jong-un specifically learned about the production of sanitary products in the factory. He said: “The quality of the sanitary product production equipment and the sanitary products produced using our strength and technology is no less than the world level. These results prove that As long as we hold high the banner of self-improvement first, there is nothing we can’t accomplish.”
Factory workers said they must complete this year’s People’s Economic Plan before National Day (September 9), resolutely implement Comrade Kim Jong-un’s instructions, and further carry forward the results of the battle.
It is reported that the predecessor of Kim Jong-sook Pyongyang Textile Factory was Pyongyang Textile Factory. It was founded in April 1947 and was changed to its current name in 2009. Kim Jong-sook is the wife of the late North Korean leader Kim Il-sung.
