International Textile Federation: Global gauze production and sales statistics in the first quarter

According to statistics from the International Textile Federation (ITMF), in the first quarter of this year, global yarn production increased by 20% compared with the previous quarter, Asian production increased by 21%, South American production increased by 29%, and European production decreased by 4%.

Compared with the first quarter of 2015, global yarn production increased by 4% in the first quarter of this year, with Asia and Europe increasing by 5% and 4% respectively. However, global yarn inventories fell by 5% in the first quarter of this year, with Asia and South America falling by 6% and 1% respectively, while other regions remained stable.
