Statistical data recently provided by Urumqi Customs shows that from January to April this year, Xinjiang’s foreign trade exports totaled 27.74 billion yuan, among which Xinjiang’s clothing and textile exports became the highlights, with a total export of 7.84 billion yuan, accounting for nearly 30% of the total export value .

Duan Weiming, general manager of the company, said that the company has also set up a branch factory in Kashgar and has trained a large number of local ethnic minority technical workers, striving to complete exports of 150 million yuan throughout the year: “This year we use the four prefectures in southern Xinjiang The number of employees is 200. In three years, we will strive to have 1,800 to 2,000 employees. We will strive to reach 1 billion in factory scale and output value within 5 years.”

In Xinjiang Fulida Fiber Co., Ltd., the world’s largest viscose fiber production base with the largest single-factory capacity, viscose fiber output reached 120,000 tons in the first four months of this year, 50% of which was sold to the mainland and Central Asian countries. Feng Wenjun, general manager of Xinjiang Fulida Fiber Co., Ltd.: “We are also preparing to use the trains out of the west to go to Central Asian countries. This year we also have a 10,000-ton sales plan for Turkey to try to open up the western Central Asian market.”

In the first four months of this year, Xinjiang’s total foreign trade import and export value was 31.92 billion yuan. Among them, exports were 27.74 billion yuan, an increase of 17.9%. Large-scale textile and garment enterprises have shown signs of recovery and achieved profitability, which has significantly boosted foreign trade exports.
