The Nigerian government is very keen to revive the cotton spinning and garment industries
At the “Textile and Garment Industry Production Conference” held last Friday, Nigeria’s Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Ms. Abubakar, said that the government very much hopes to revitalize the country’s cotton spinning and garment industry, and related industrial chain, which will be conducive to the sustainable development of the national economy. To this end, the government will take a series of measures to stimulate industrial development, including encouraging private investment to enter the above-mentioned fields, supporting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, and providing them with preferential policies in terms of tax incentives and financing.
