Turkmenistan’s textile exports account for % of the country’s total production
Independent media “Trend” reported on July 15 that Turkmenistan’s textiles exported to foreign markets accounted for about 70% of the country’s total textile production. Expanding the quantity and type of textile exports will promote the implementation of a series of projects. New workshops for the production of various types of cotton fabrics are under construction at Rubakha Blended Fabric Complex and Ashgabat Textile Complex. Well-known companies from Japan, Germany, Italy and Switzerland carried out equipment upgrades for Turkmenistan’s Bash Textile Complex and Jeok-Debin Textile Complex. After the denim complex technology is updated, it can increase the production of ring-shaped cotton yarn and various Lycra denim fabrics by 130 tons per month.
Turkmenistan’s national news agency “Dovletkhabarlary” commented that technological modernization has made the factory’s target products more specialized. Products must take into account factors such as the company’s geographical location, proximity to raw material production areas, residents’ employment characteristics, climate conditions and other factors. The construction of large-scale clothing factories in Turkmenistan has significantly increased the number of clothing products and the types of products, including the production of professional clothing for various types of work.
Turkmenistan’s annual cotton output exceeds 1 million tons, which lays the foundation for the development of Turkmenistan’s textile industry. It can produce about 120,000 tons of yarn, which is used to produce various textile products, including towel products. Most of the products are exported to the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia, Italy, Turkey, China, and Ukraine. Turkmenistan’s textile exports account for 70% of the country’s total production
