The EU launches an anti-dumping review investigation into Chinese fiberglass mesh fabrics
On August 9, 2016, the European Commission announced that it would launch an anti-dumping sunset review investigation into certain open mesh fabrics of glass fiber originating in China. The dumping investigation period in this case is from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016, and the damage investigation period is from January 1, 2013 to the end of the investigation period. The EU CN (Combined Nomenclature) codes of the products involved are ex70195100 and ex70195900; the EU TARIC codes are 7019510019 and 7019590019.
On May 4, 2016, Alliance for the Defense of Open Mesh Fabrics submitted an application for sunset review of anti-dumping on behalf of manufacturers with more than 25% of the EU’s glass fiber mesh fabric production. In May 2010, the European Union launched an anti-dumping investigation into fiberglass mesh fabrics originating in China. On August 3, 2011, the EU made a positive final ruling on this case.
