Azerbaijan to set up new cotton gin
According to Interfax reports on October 10, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev recently stated at the enlarged government meeting to review the social and economic development of Afghanistan in the first three quarters of 2016 that Azerbaijan’s cotton output will reach 100,000 tons in 2016 and 2017. It reaches 250,000-300,000 tons annually, and is expected to exceed the annual processing capacity of Azerbaijan’s existing cotton gin plants (350,000 tons) in 2018.
