Myanmar’s garment manufacturing exports reach US$1.1 billion
According to a report by the “New Light of Myanmar” on February 17, according to the Myanmar Ministry of Commerce, Myanmar’s garment manufacturing exports are expected to reach US$1.855 billion this fiscal year. Among them, 33% of the products are exported to Japan, 25% are exported to Europe and South Korea, and 2.4% are exported to the United States and China.
Myanmar’s garment manufacturing products include shoes, clothing and bags. The industry has been developing in Myanmar for 20 years. Although Myanmar has more than 100 garment companies employing more than 40,000 workers, Myanmar still does not have the ability to produce products throughout the entire process.
