Pakistani floral yarn prices remain strong but market demand is sluggish

In the week of May 18-24, cotton prices in Pakistan were firm, and polyester staple fiber prices increased as international crude oil prices rebounded sharply.

According to statistics, the domestic price of 1.4D polyester staple fiber in Pakistan remained at 123 rupees/kg last week, while the price of polyester staple fiber imported from China increased by US$1/kg, and is expected to continue to increase in the future. As the cost of viscose staple fiber continues to decline, the price of domestic viscose staple fiber in Pakistan fell by 5 rupees/kg to 235 rupees/kg last week, and the price of viscose staple fiber imported from China fell to US$1.90/kg. Last week, the prices of PC yarn and PV yarn in Pakistan were relatively stable, while inquiries and orders were sluggish.
