1. Exports to major export markets such as the United States, the European Union, and Japan all increased slightly
From January to April, home textile exports to the United States were US$2.15 billion, an increase of 7.63%. Exports to the EU were US$1.286 billion, an increase of 0.24%. Exports to Japan were US$809 million, an increase of 6.84%.
From the perspective of the intercontinental market, home textile exports to Latin America and South America grew rapidly, with exports of US$367 million and US$290 million, an increase of 22.47% and 26.16%; the exports to Africa and the Middle East dropped significantly, 15.79% respectively. and 11.8%.
2. The five major exporting provinces and cities are relatively stable, with Hebei, Tianjin and Xinjiang continuing to maintain rapid growth momentum
From January to April, the top five export provinces and cities were Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, Shanghai, and Guangdong. Among them, Shandong’s decline shrank to 1.27%, Guangdong had a certain decline of 2.1%, and other regions maintained steady growth. The export volume of Hebei, Tianjin and Xinjiang was 2.69, 182 and 190 million US dollars, with growth rates of 52.64%, 18.28% and 63.52%. The growth rates of Hebei and Tianjin in April both declined compared with the previous month, and Xinjiang mainly benefited from the growth of border trade.
3. Export situation of main commodities
From January to April, the export of bed textiles was US$3.177 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.58%; the export of kitchen textiles was US$490 million, a year-on-year decrease of 3.96%; the export of curtain products was US$731 million, a year-on-year increase of 7.24%; the export of towel products was 913 million US dollars.
