-Xinjiang port textile and clothing exports increased by .% year-on-year
In the first three quarters of 2017, the export of textiles and clothing from Xinjiang ports increased by 23.3% year-on-year. Small-scale border trade exports were the main method, and Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and the Russian Federation remained the main export markets.
Data released by Urumqi Customs on October 30 showed that from January to September 2017, Xinjiang Port exported 46.44 billion yuan of textiles and clothing, including 34.76 billion yuan of exports of clothing and clothing accessories, a year-on-year increase of 27.1%; exports of textile yarns and fabrics and products were 11.68 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.5%.
The southern Xinjiang port is the main export port for textile and clothing products. In the first three quarters, the four southern Xinjiang ports (Irkeshtan Port, Turgat Port, Khunjerab Port, Karasu Port) and Kashgar Customs Supervision Site A total of 27.41 billion yuan of textiles and clothing was exported, an increase of 21.4%, accounting for 59% of the total textile and clothing export value of Xinjiang ports.
The relevant person in charge of Urumqi Customs said that the main reason for the growth is the recovery of economic growth in major exporting countries, the accelerated pace of enterprises “going global”, and the rapid development of Xinjiang’s textile and garment industry.
