The high-quality cotton base construction project in Aksu region received central financial support

On March 27, we learned from the Aksu Regional Development and Reform Commission that the recent regional high-quality cotton base construction project received 182 million yuan in central budgetary funding support. The project will support the construction of 170,000 acres of high-quality cotton base in the region, involving five counties (cities): Kuqa City, Shaya County, Xinhe County, Wensu County, and Awati County.

The construction of a high-quality cotton base is of great significance to ensuring national cotton security and promoting the development of the cotton spinning industry. It will effectively improve the infrastructure conditions of cotton fields in project areas of counties (cities) in the region, and enhance the comprehensive cotton production capacity and cotton planting efficiency.
