The 4th Shandong Province “Governor’s Cup” Industrial Design Competition, sponsored by the Shandong Provincial People’s Government, supported by the China Industrial Design Association, and hosted by the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and other units, has officially launched. The reporter learned that with reference to Shandong’s “top ten” industries and key industrial chains, industrial clusters and the current status of industrial design development, this year’s “Governor’s Cup” industrial design competition will start from 20 Entries will be selected from each industry field, and a special sub-contest will be set up in the textile and clothing field for the first time.
These 20 industry fields include mechanical equipment, aerospace, marine engineering, and transportation; intelligent robots, electronic information and communication products, software and information platforms, and intelligent terminals; green chemicals and energy conservationEnvironmental protection; New materials and new processes, metal products; medical health and emergency protection products, supplies for special groups and special fields, cultural, office, sports and entertainment supplies ;Public facilities, rural revitalization, boutique tourism and cultural creativity, pan-home furnishings (including home appliances, furniture manufacturing, kitchen and bathroom, etc.); food, packaging, etc. Recently, Shandong has added a modern light industrial textile industry action plan to the “Top Ten Industries 2022 Action Plan”. In order to enhance the creative design level of the province’s textile and clothing industry, a group of outstanding textile and clothing designers and design works have been selected. The textile and apparel competition is designed to cover the entire textile and apparel industry chain, including yarn, fabrics, printing and dyeing, clothing and apparel, home textiles, industrial textiles and Textile Machinery.
Shandong will invite experts from inside and outside the province who are responsible for the evaluation of industrial design or scientific research awards at the provincial or ministerial level to form a working group to propose a list of shortlisted products (works) at each stage and award suggestions. This year’s “Governor’s Cup” Industrial Design Competition has 10 gold medals, 20 silver medals, 50 bronze medals and 50 rising star awards (for school students, young teachers and designers). Individual chief creative designers (except school students) who win the gold medal shall apply for the “Shandong May 1st Labor Medal” to the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions in accordance with the procedures; groups or individuals who win the gold medal, silver medal, bronze medal, and rising star award will each be awarded 150,000 Financial rewards of RMB, RMB 50,000, RMB 20,000, and RMB 5,000; products (works) that win gold, silver, and bronze awards will be given priority to be recommended to participate in the “China Excellent Industrial Design Award”; those who win the “Rising Star Award” of the college Current students will be given priority to recommend employment opportunities to employers such as Shandong Province Industrial Design Research Institute and above provincial level, key industrial design enterprises. The textile and clothing sub-competition has 3 gold medals, 12 silver medals, 20 bronze medals and 20 rising star awards. Groups or individuals who win the gold medal, silver medal, bronze medal and rising star award will be awarded 80,000 yuan, 30,000 yuan, 30,000 yuan, Financial rewards of 10,000 yuan and 5,000 yuan, 35 gold, silver and bronze awards and the top 5 Rising Star Awards will directly participate in the semi-finals of the “Governor’s Cup” competition.
It is understood that Shandong will hold a week-long exhibition of all the winning works of the “Governor’s Cup” Industrial Design Competition and the Textile and Clothing Sub-Contest. By holding various forms of industry docking activities such as design innovation summit forums, industry docking, and theme promotions, we will guide the competition results to connect with resources such as venture capital funds, social capital, and brand enterprises.
